January Poet and Poem of the Month
January 2025
Winning Poem:
Moses & Aaron
It's a shame we have our own truths
Letting our golden calves run loose
In the streets and free ranges
I'm ashamed of my personal figures,
how we now speak in tongues
And add numbers of our invention
While writing poems that mean nothing at all
Contradictions and obscurities by the Red Sea
Idol after idol on promised land
god after god against the divine system
Perhaps I should turn to some set of commandments
Bringing order to our idol revelry
For I wish to be healed at the tops of Sinai
From our distance in the valley in between
